OpenTivi – IPTV on the Screens You Already Own

OpenTivi FAQ: 45 Answers, Starting With the Hardware

The questions that actually arrive on WhatsApp, in the order people ask them, which means the device questions come first because that is what everybody wants settled before anything else. Plain English, short version first.

OpenTivi carries 25,000+ live channels and 120,000+ films and series from $15 a month, on hardware you already own, with a 24-hour trial in front of it and a 7-day refund window behind it. If you would rather skip to your own device, the setup hub has a page for each.

OpenTivi Hardware First

Do I have to buy anything to use this?

Almost certainly not. If a Fire TV Stick, an Android box, a Samsung or LG television from 2016 onward, an Apple TV, a phone or a laptop is already in the house, that is the hardware question answered. You install a free player on it, type in three values, and 25,000+ channels arrive. No dish, no cable box, no engineer and nothing delivered.

What is OpenTivi?

A television subscription carried over the broadband you already pay for. The account opens 25,000+ live channels and 120,000+ films and series, and it is designed around the assumption that you own something capable of running it. Thirteen setup guides cover the common devices individually rather than sending everyone through one generic sequence.

Which devices actually work?

Fire TV Stick and Fire TV, Android TV and Android boxes, Samsung and LG televisions from 2016 onward, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Roku with caveats, Windows, Mac, and MAG or Formuler boxes. Because the account is a standard Xtream login, the same three values configure every one of them, so the second device takes about two minutes.

My television is old. Will it still work?

Usually, with two honest limits. A smart set older than about 2016 will not have the app store the players live in, so it needs a stick in an HDMI port. And any device that caps at 1080p output will never show the 4K feeds however good the stream is. Neither stops it working; both change what you should expect to see.

How much does a subscription cost?

A single month on one stream is $15. Twelve months is $69, which is near $5.75 a month. Two, three and five-stream plans are on the pricing page. There is no equipment charge, no activation fee and no installation cost underneath any of those figures, because none of those things exist here.

How fast is activation?

Usually under fifteen minutes. Nothing is posted and nobody visits, so the only steps are the payment clearing and somebody typing your credentials into the chat. Tell us which device you have when you order and the walkthrough for that specific one comes back alongside them.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, 24 hours, and the reason to take it is precisely the hardware question. It is a complete account with every channel open, so install it on the box you actually intend to use and find out whether that box copes before any money moves. No card, and it lapses by itself.

How many devices can I install the player on?

As many as you like. What the plan limits is how many streams play at the same moment, which is a different thing and the distinction catches people out. A one-stream plan can be signed in on a television, a phone and a laptop; only one of them plays at a time.

What internet speed do I need?

About 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K, per stream running at once. Steadiness matters more than the headline figure. If the device sits away from the router, an Ethernet adapter at $10 to $15 fixes more stuttering than any hardware upgrade costing ten times that, and we would rather tell you to buy the cable than a box.

Which app should I install?

IPTV Smarters Pro on anything, because it exists for every platform and costs nothing. TiViMate if the device runs Android and you want a proper grid guide, at about $10 a year. On a Samsung or LG set with nothing plugged in, Smart IPTV or IPTV Smarters from the television's own store. Each has its own guide.

What if I get stuck halfway through setup?

Photograph the screen and send it on WhatsApp. Working from a picture of the actual menu is faster than a description, and it is how most setup problems get resolved here. Somebody answers at any hour, and the person who sold you the account is the person who replies.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Every plan carries 7 days. If it will not run on the hardware you own and support cannot get it working, say so within 7 days of activation and the payment is returned in full. Given that hardware is the whole question here, that is the guarantee that actually matters.

What it costs

How much is it per month?

One month is $15. Longer terms bring the monthly figure down: $29 across three months, $45 across six, and $69 for a year, which is roughly $5.75 a month. The columns above hold the two, three and five-stream prices.

Is there an equipment or setup fee?

No, and there is nothing to rent either. The figure on the page is the whole cost of the service. Where hardware is genuinely worth buying we say so on the relevant guide and name the price, but none of it is bought from us and none of it is required to start.

What does a year work out at?

$69 on one stream, $119 on two, $159 on three and $239 on five. Each carries the identical 25,000+ channels, 120,000+ on-demand titles and 4K feeds. The only difference between them is how many screens can be playing simultaneously.

Why is a year so much cheaper per month?

Three costs genuinely fall away. Payment handling is collected once instead of twelve times. Support load concentrates almost entirely in the first week of any account, so an annual subscriber generates it once a year. And a known term is easier to plan capacity around than a subscriber who lapses and returns unpredictably.

Should I buy a year straight away?

No. Take a month, install it on the device you intend to use, and find out whether that device behaves. The annual saving is $54 across twelve months, which is a fair price for knowing rather than hoping. Buy the year second.

Are there hidden fees or auto-renewals?

Neither. Nothing renews by itself; when a term ends you get a message and you decide. There is no setup charge, no contract and nothing to cancel. That is worth asking of anyone in this market, because it is not universal.

Which payment methods work?

The options are set out in the WhatsApp conversation when you order, because what functions varies considerably by country. Whatever you use, do not type card details into a chat window, here or anywhere else.

Can I add streams later?

Yes, at any point. Message us and the account moves up a tier, charged only for the difference across the time remaining rather than restarting the term. The credentials stay the same, so nothing needs reconfiguring on any device.

What is the cheapest this can be done for?

$69 for a year, on hardware you already own, is the floor if you buy nothing. Add a Fire TV Stick at $30 to $50 if the television is old, and an Ethernet adapter at $10 to $15 if the router is far away. That is a realistic worst case of about $130 in year one and $69 thereafter.

Is it worth it compared to free playlists?

The free M3U lists circulating online are scraped feeds shared by thousands of people at once. They collapse within days, carry no guide, and nobody answers when they break. There is also no walkthrough for your particular device when something goes wrong, which is most of what you are paying for here.

What happens after I pay?

Three values arrive in the same chat: a server address, a username and a password. Alongside them comes the guide for the device you told us about. Enter the three values once and the channel list downloads itself.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 7 days. If the service will not run on your equipment and support cannot resolve it, the money goes back. What it does not cover is changing your mind once everything has been working properly on your hardware.

Do the 4K feeds cost extra?

No, they are on every plan with no premium tier. Whether you see them depends on your hardware rather than your plan: a device that outputs only 1080p will show you the HD copy no matter what you pay, which is why the device guides are blunt about which boxes cap out.

Do I need a separate plan for each television?

No. One account covers every screen in the house; you install the player everywhere and sign in with the same details. The plan tier only decides how many can play at once, so a household watching in two rooms simultaneously wants two streams, not two subscriptions.

Testing it first

What is the trial for?

Answering one question: does this run properly on the hardware you already own. That is the only thing worth establishing before money changes hands, and it cannot be answered by reading. 24 hours, every channel open, on your own equipment.

Do I need a card?

No card, no billing details and nothing to cancel. The trial is arranged over WhatsApp or through the form on this page, runs for 24 hours, then stops by itself. It will not roll into anything.

What does it include?

Everything a paid account has: all 25,000+ channels, the full on-demand library, the guide and the 4K feeds. A trimmed demo would not tell you what you need to know, because the whole point is watching your own device cope with the real thing.

Which device should I test on?

The one you actually intend to use, not the easiest one. A trial that works beautifully on a laptop tells you very little about the eight-year-old television in the living room. If you plan to watch on both, install it on both; the same credentials work everywhere.

How long does it take to arrive?

Usually a few minutes. Trials are issued by hand rather than automatically, which is marginally slower and means somebody is available to get the player configured on your device at the same time.

Can I have a second trial?

Normally one per household, because it exists to answer the hardware question rather than to supply free television. If something genuinely went wrong the first time, or you have since changed the device you were testing on, say so and we will usually extend it.

Apps and installation

What does installation involve?

Install a player, choose the Xtream Codes option, enter a server address, a username and a password, and wait while the list downloads. That shape is identical on every device. The setup hub has a page per device because the menu names are not identical, and menu names are where people stop.

What should I buy if I do need hardware?

A Fire TV Stick 4K or 4K Max at $30 to $50 covers almost everyone. The Nvidia Shield is quicker and costs more than a year of subscription. A Formuler Z11 suits a main television used daily. Before any of those, try a $12 Ethernet adapter, which fixes more problems per dollar than anything else.

Which player suits a television?

On Android hardware, TiViMate, for the grid guide. On a Samsung or LG set with nothing plugged in, IPTV Smarters or Smart IPTV from the set's own store. On Apple, IPTV Smarters Player or iPlayTV. Every one of those has its own page in the setup hub.

How many channels are there really?

The account lists 25,000+ live channels and 120,000+ films and series. In practice everybody settles on a favourites row of fifty to a hundred, and on slower hardware trimming the rest away makes the whole list noticeably quicker to move around.

Is Netflix part of this?

No. Netflix is a separate subscription and belongs to no IPTV service, whatever a seller claims. What you do get is a large on-demand library inside the player, and a fair number of those titles are the same ones Netflix, Disney+ and Prime carry.

Is Fox Sports carried?

Yes. Fox Sports 1 and 2, the regional Fox Sports networks, ESPN, NBC Sports, CBS Sports and NFL Network are all in the US sports category, mostly in HD with several carrying an Ultra HD feed on match days.

Legality and blocking

Is IPTV legal?

The technology is entirely legal and is how Hulu, YouTube TV and Sling deliver television. The question with legal weight is whether a provider holds the rights to what it carries, and that differs by country. Our legality article treats it properly rather than waving it away.

Could my connection be blocked?

Some UK and EU providers block particular servers during live football under court orders. We run several routes and our own DNS, and a VPN steps around provider-level blocking. US providers are not blocking this traffic at present. None of it is affected by which device you own.

How do I tell whether it is my provider or my device?

Test the same login somewhere else. If it plays on a phone using mobile data but not on the television, the difference is your home connection or that device. If it fails on both, it is the account or the server. That two-minute test resolves most arguments before support gets involved.

What happens to viewers who get it wrong?

In the United States individual viewers are seldom pursued; enforcement concentrates on operators and volume sellers. In the UK and parts of the EU some viewers have had warning letters and, rarely, fines. Choosing a provider carefully lowers that exposure.

Selling it on

How do I start selling this myself?

Through the reseller route: wholesale credits, a panel for opening and managing accounts, and subscriptions sold under your own name. No servers and nothing technical to configure. Rates are on the reseller page.

How quickly can I get panel access?

Send the word reseller on WhatsApp. We take you through the credit packs, hand over access the same day, and add a starter guide on pricing and looking after customers of your own.

Who should I buy from?

Providers sell direct and so do resellers, and either can be perfectly good. Look for published prices, a real trial, a written refund policy, and documentation for your specific device. That last one is worth more than it sounds when something will not install.

Use the hardware you already have

Nothing to buy and nothing to install in the wall. The login arrives on WhatsApp in under 15 minutes, with 7 days to change your mind.
